Jimi Hendrix Sheet Music
|
James Marshall “Jimi” Hendrix, or Johnny Allen Hendrix, is best known by his nickname “Jimi.” Considered one of the most influential guitarists of all time, he was the pioneer of experimentation with over-amplified feedback, with high volume and gain, the use of the wah pedal, and stereophonic phasing. Because of his style, he became one of the most well-known musicians during his short-lived mainstream career of only 4 years, before supposedly overdosing. His death is widely disputed and doctors have officially declared the evidence regarding his death as inconclusive. Speculation, however, points to overdose, as he was well known to have used and abused psychedelics, alcohol, and amphetamines. Regardless of his habits, Jimi Hendrix is still considered a musical genius, and for this, he has a star on Hollywood Boulevard, a spot in both the US and UK Rock and Roll Halls of Fame, as well as many other awards for his revolutionary influence sparking permanent changes to the future sound of rock music.
