FOLIO: Noah's Ark - Global Music
This series of elementary piano solos with lyrics was created to introduce students to different musical styles and to global music. For the student what more fun guides could there be besides animals? Different animals in various locales introduce the student to numerous styles. For examples: ‘Iguana’ is a tango; ‘Joey the Wallabee Kangaroo’ a waltz; ‘Koala Lullaby’ a lullaby; ‘Sam the Lamb’, the Celtic offering in strophic form; and ‘Cruising Down the Nile’ introduces the exotic Mid-eastern style. 'Actual Factual' pages are on the backs of all solos in this 'Noah's Ark Series' in hopes that the student can make a project of this in school in science or social studies culminating in his/her performance of the piece on a portable keyboard.
